FAQs

What can I expect during an individual therapy session?
I work holistically, which means I aim to work with you on the following levels:
- Physical
- Mental
- Emotional
- Spiritual
-Social (personal, work and family relationships and environments)

Therapy sessions can also include elements of coaching and mindfulness meditation.

How long is a session and how many do I need?
Depending on your needs I provide ongoing in-depth or time-limited and focused therapy.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and take place on a weekly basis. I normally suggest booking six sessions and then reviewing from there.

What issues do you specialise in?
- Anxiety (generalised, social, performance, relationship)
-Childhood sexual/emotional/physical abuse
-Chronic physical health conditions
-Depression
-Occupational health
-Shame and feelings of inadequacy
- Spirituality
-Stress and fatigue

-Transitions (retirement, redundancy, relationship breakdowns/divorce/health diagnosis)

“Pain is not wrong. Reacting to pain as wrong initiates the trance of unworthiness. The moment we believe something is wrong, our world shrinks and we lose ourselves in the effort to combat the pain.” Tara Brach, Clinical Psychologist and Buddhist

What Clients Are Saying

"Kate is brilliant and I am so grateful to her for helping me through the 'journey' I have been on with her over the last year. She has that knack of making you feel really heard and understood - I felt like I could tell her anything and she would respond with compassionate acceptance. She is intelligent and has guided me in finding out many things about how my childhood has shaped who I am and helped me change some unhelpful patterns of thinking. I always felt better, after each session, even after talking about difficult feelings.Thank you, Kate!"
